Winter is Nearly Here. Have You Contracted for Snow Plowing Yet?
That burst of snow that dumped on us earlier this fall was a good reminder for many residents in the area to contract with a snow-removal service for the winter. Well, winter official starts this weekend. Have you made the call?
At CD Lawn and Maintenance, we wish to thank many of our customers who have already contacted us to arrange to plow and remove snow from their location. CD Lawn and Maintenance offers snow removal services for home, businesses, even neighborhood associations. Our crews will clear snow from driveways, sidewalks, porch steps and business parking lots. We can also contract with neighborhood associations and small towns to clear streets.
Is it too late to give us a call? We can always try to squeeze a few more into our schedule, but you don't want to wait much longer.
If you already contracted with CD Lawn for snow removal, there are still a few more things you can do to be ready when the snow falls.
- Drive tall stakes into the ground to mark plant beds and obstacles near driveways that you need plows to avoid. If your driveway is curved, mark that as well.
- Make sure the driveway is clear of any objects, such as large covered grills.
- If you can't park your car in a garage, park it at the far end of a driveway so we can clear the rest of the drive unimpeded. Don't park your car in the street. Municipal plows will likely bury your car, and police may ticket it.
An extra tip if you have any shrubs that get buried with snow this winter. Leave them alone. The shrubs can usually take it, and you can do more damage by trying to shake the snow off.
